OFE ServicesThe Office of Faculty Enhancement (OFE) is committed to faculty development in the areas of teaching, research, and service. Promoting faculty development enriches the educational experience of students, promotes a culture of innovation and improvement, and supports the retention of quality faculty by fostering an engaged and supportive work environment. To support these objectives, the Office of Faculty Enhancement provides the following services: Confidential Consultation - The OFE Director is available to discuss professional concerns such as promotion and tenure, teaching techniques, and research strategies. Frequent outcomes of these discussions include goal setting, evidence-based planning, and networking for faculty members within and outside of their department and/or college. To request consultation, contact the OFE Director at Workshops – OFE provides a number of informative and engaging workshops that cover a variety of topics relating to faculty success in teaching, research, and service. Workshops focus on learning theory and strategies for successful teaching and research progress. A list of upcoming events can be accessed online. Resource Library - OFE maintains an open resource library in 10/1104 housing literature supporting faculty development in the roles of teacher, learner, technology innovator, and successful scholar. We also maintain a library of example dossiers to help faculty prepare for promotion and tenure. The OFE Library Catalog is available for browsing online. Online Resources - OFE maintains web-based resources that assist faculty in planning engaging course activities and dealing with classroom issues. The website also includes a UNF Faculty Enhancement Blog with faculty contributors who address the faculty perspective at UNF. |
