Creating Safe Schools for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Students

The Teaching Respect For All: Creating Safe Schools for LGBT Students Seminar is a day-long series of educational sessions and workshops will provide current and prospective school teachers, counselors, social workers, and administrators with the knowledge and tools to successfully create a school culture where all people, including LGBT people, are respected, free to express themselves and able to reach their full potential.
Participants will develop an awareness and understanding of LGBT concerns and be exposed to current research and strategies to respond sensitively and effectively toward anti-gay harassment and discrimination.
This is event is sponsored by the UNF LGBT Resource Center, Jacksonville Area Sexual Minority Youth Network, Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN) and Parents & Friends of LGBT Jacksonville (PFLAG)
