Support & Referral
The staff at the LGBT Resource Center works to provide a safe and supportive environment for all students to discuss their concerns through support groups or individual appointments. We collaborate with other campus offices to respond sensitively and effectively to instances of discrimination or harassment based on actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity.
The Center is also open to all students, faculty, and staff as a drop in center to come hang out and relax in a supportive environment. We also offer access to information on LGBT friendly campus and community resources.

Education and Outreach
Educational programming for your classroom, workshop, lecture or event around LGBT topics is available upon request.
Examples of programs offered include:
LGBT 101
Gender 101
LGBT Safe Space Program
LGBT Speakers Bureau

Safe Space
The LGBT Safe Space Network is a campus-wide program sponsored by the LGBT Resource Center and Residence Life. The goal of the program is to provide a safe and caring environment for LGBT persons. The Safe Space program encourages allies from the UNF faculty, staff and student population to identify themselves as someone with information, sensitivity and understanding towards LGBT issues.

Speakers Bureau
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Speakers Bureau is a unique educational program that can be utilized in the classroom, residence hall, or for other organizations and events. The Speakers Bureau was created to provide general information, combat stereotypes and homophobia, and increase visibility of the LGBT community. It is a great way to inform students, faculty, and staff about issues and questions surrounding the LGBT community. Each panel can be customized to fit your classroom needs. Typically,
panels consist of 3-4 students and begin with a 10-15 minute introduction, followed by the question and answer session.

Resource Library
Stop by and check out our resource library with books, magazines and DVD's that can be used in the center or checked out with an Osprey Id card.
Educational handouts, brochures, and other resources on LGBT topics are also available.
