Troubleshooting Problems Connecting to UNF Wireless

If you experience problems connecting to a wireless access point on campus, try the following steps:

Click on Start and then Control Panel

Click on Network and Internet Connections

Click on Network Connections

Right click on your wireless connection and click Properties

Click on the Wireless Networks tab

If no wireless access points appear in the Preferred Networks section, click on Add and enter the name of an access point appearing in Available Networks (usually a building and room number) in the SSID field. Make sure Data Encryption is UNCHECKED before clicking OK.

If you are still unable to connect, double click on your wireless icon appearing at the bottom right of your screen.

Select a wireless access point and make sure "Allow me to connect to the selected wireless network, even though it is not secure" is checked before clicking Connect.
