When you are
out of the office, a temporary voice mail greeting is a helpful
tool to inform callers of when you expect to be back in the office.
This option enables you to set an expiration
date and avoid re-recording your internal and external greetings
after you return.
To create a temporary voice mail greeting, login to your voice mail
system using your extension number and password. Then...
1) Press 8 2
2) Press 3 to select temporary greeting
3) Next press 5 and record your greeting (tell callers when you
expect to be back in the office)
4) Press # to end your recording
5 ) You can press 2 to review your greeting and 7 6 if you wish
to delete it
6 ) When you are finished, press 9 to set an expiry date and time
- you will be prompted for the month, date and time. Remember to
include the # after each entry. If you do not select an expiry date
and time, the temporary greeting will stay in effect until you delete
it.
To access your voicemail, press the "Message" button on your office phone or from off campus, dial 620-3900
If you have
questions or need your voice mail password reset, please contact
the ITS Support Center
