Graduation Applications by Major
Screen 47

 

 Purpose: To display students who have applied for graduation by college, major, and degree code. The current graduation term appears by default, but this field can be changed.
 To Use:
  • Enter the student's college, major, and degree codes, and press enter.
  • All students who have applied for graduation within the above criteria should appear. 
  • To access a student's records, place an 'X' next to the social security number. Press the home key. Enter the number of the screen you wish to view, and press F5 to transfer to that screen. 
  • Press F7 to scroll backwards; press F8 to scroll forward.
  • Press Shift F7 to display the top of the records; press Shift F8 to display the end of the records.
  • To show all applicants who have a clear status of 'N', enter a minimum of the college code, and press the F9 key. To further narrow the selection, the major and degree fields may optionally be entered. When using this feature, the status field will not display.
  • Press F11 to clear the screen and enter a new social security number.
  • Press F12 to exit to the menu.

Field Descriptions
Term:
(0245)
The term in which the student applied for graduation.
SSN:
(0239)
The student’s social security number or student ID number.
College:
(0049)
Code of the college associated with the student’s major field of study.
A - College of Arts & Science
B - College of Business Administration
C - College of Computer Sciences and Engineering
E - College of Education and Human Services
H - College of Health
U - University
Major:
(0187)
The code used to identify the major program of study.
Degree:
(0451)
Indicates the level of degree earned by a student.
AA- Associate of Arts
BA- Bachelor of Arts
BS- Bachelor of Science
DEDD- Doctorate of Education
MA- Master of Arts
MS- Master of Science
Track:
(0460)
The track associated with a program of study.
Status:
(0357)
A statement that indicates the completion status of the student's program of study.  
POS Completed - The program of study has been completed  
GPA too low - Program content has been satisfied, but the student's program GPA is too low
Hours too low - Program content has been satisfied, but the student needs more hours
Comp pending - Program content has been completed using in-progress or incomplete classes  
Minor conflict - Conflict between minor code and the contract  
Not Ready - Contract is not complete  
Syntax Errors - A subrequirement is outside of a requirement or in the free elective section  
UNF requirement - One or more University requirements have not been satisfied
Dis:
(0483)
Indicates whether or not the student's dissertation title has been entered (if applicable).
Pre:
(0105)
A flag that indicates whether or not the student has been precertified by Deans and department chairpersons that degree requirements to this point have been fulfilled.
D - Student was denied at certification time
N - Student has not been precertified (default)
Y - Student has been precertified
Clr:
(0094)
Indicates whether or not the student is clear for graduation.
Y - Student has been cleared for gradutation
N - Student has not been cleared for graduation (default)

 

 

Error Messages

"College code required"
The college code field is blank, and a code must be entered to inquire.

"Degree code required"
The degree code field is blank, and a code must be entered to inquire.

"End of list"
All the records meeting the entered criteria have been displayed.

"Inquire complete"
An entry was found on the graduation application file for the student.

">>Invalid key pressed<<"
An undefined PF key was pressed.

"Invalid term"
The term entered on the screen is not numeric.

"Major code required"
The major code is blank, and must be entered to inquire.

"No records"
There are no records that meet the entered criteria.

"Top of list"
The beginning of the list of records that meet the entered criteria is displayed.
