What is an Osprey Account?
Osprey Accounts are general-purpose unix-based accounts. Osprey accounts are used to provide computing services for the academic community, it is accessed by students, faculty and staff. Your Osprey account gives you space to create web pages, access Email, and provides dial-up services for Internet access.
Individual Student Accounts
Upon registration, each currently enrolled UNF student has an Osprey email account automatically generated for them. Students can find out their email account username, change their password, and set forwarding by visiting this link: http://www.unf.edu/app/ess
Individual Faculty/Staff Accounts
Faculty and staff Osprey accounts should be requested via the Computer ID Request System available from UNF Local Applications on the network.
Student Class Distribution Lists
Faculty use Administrative Applications (Grade Roll system) to request distribution lists of UNF e-mail accounts for students in a particular class. The new option is called "Email List Setup. Email lists may be requested one day prior to the start of the term.

Directions:
1. Go to https://csdweb.unf.edu/admprod/htdocs/admin.htm.
2. After logging in with your UNF network ID and password, select "Instructor Grade Roll".
3. Click on one of your classes and then click on "Email List Setup".
4. Next check the box (CCB and COCSE have their boxes pre-checked as 'yes') next to "Check to have list created for this class".
5. Then click on the submit button to have a class list created.

Faculty will view their class email lists in Administrative Applications. The lists will be updated daily throughout the term. This process generates lists of Osprey userids. Students wishing to use off campus e-mail addresses must use the forwarding process described in: http://www.unf.edu/dept/its/ospaccts/index.html
