Intercultural
Center
for PEACE (ICP)
The Intercultural
Center for PEACE (Promotion, Education, and Advancement of Cultures and Ethnicities)
(ICP) promotes civility and respect for the dignity and worth of each
individual at the University of North Florida (UNF). We encourage peace,
respect and appreciation of our differences through cultural programs.
We educate and advance the understanding of cultures and ethnicities.
In pursuit of these goals, ICP is dedicated to maintaining an environment
which places the highest priority on collegial relationships, mutual
respect, and sensitivity among its students, faculty, and staff. The
center serves the entire University community. ICP is committed to diversity.
This commitment is reflected in the ethnic and economic background
of our students. ICP is pleased with your interest in our University.
We encourage you to contact our office with any question that you might
have. We will answer your questions or point you to the appropriate
department.
ICP Priorities:
- Embracing and providing more interaction with UNF's minority student
organizations.
- Creating forums for campus dialogue regarding race relations and
current domestic and global issues.
- Coordinating the Florida/West Africa Linkage Institute.
- Implementing diversity training for the university.
