Identify that new or vacant position is available (position, number, title)

Create or review and update position description. (Consult with the Classification Specialist, OHR.)

Complete Vacancy Pool Form.
Hiring Official
Complete Recruitment Request in OASys (once vacancy pool approval has been received, if applicable.) Refer to Hiring Manager’s Navigation Guide. Secure all approvals.
Hiring Official
Review applications using OASys. Select applicants for interview, contact OHR for applicant approval.
Hiring Official
Conduct interviews. Identify final candidate. Contact OHR to make job offer. Complete Employment Verification Form and submit completed form to OHR, Employment Specialist.
Hiring Official
Complete Personnel Action Form, Nepotism Form, Osprey Card Application and Key Request Form within 48 hours of offer. Send letter to applicants interviewed but not selected. Change remaining applicant statuses in OASys. Notify OHR when all applicant status have been changed.
