H1N1 Information
Here are some important points for faculty and staff members to understand about H1N1:
- UNF officials urge everyone to reduce their chances of becoming ill by taking common prevention measures — wash hands frequently throughout the day, and avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizers when soap and water are not available. Whenever possible, limit exposure to individuals who appear ill.
- If ill with influenza-like symptoms (fever, cough, and/or sore throat), call your health care provider. Stay home, avoid social contact with others and cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, not your hands, to prevent the illness from spreading to others.
