The State of Florida and the Florida Prepaid College Board make saving for college easier and more affordable with the Florida Prepaid College Plan and the Florida College Investment Plan. Saving is even easier through payroll deductions.
Florida Prepaid College Plan:
This plan allows families to lock in the cost of college tuition, local fees and dormitory housing. When the child is ready for college, the plan covers the actual cost at any Florida public college or university. The value of the plan can also be transferred to most private colleges in Florida, select technical schools and most out-of-state colleges. The price of a four-year university tuition plan starts at about $3 a day for a newborn.
Florida College Investment Plan:
This plan offers a tax-smart plan to help families save for future college expenses. With a range of investment options, the College Investment Plan can be used for any qualified college expense, at most colleges, anywhere in the country.
