The University’s first Excellence Awards Luncheon was held on April 12, 2007 as part of the 3rd Annual Professional Development Forum.  The keynote speaker was Dr. Mark Workman, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Receiving Soaring to Excellence Awards were:  John Yancey, Vernon Payne and Bill McSherry. 

Kathleen Cohen, Phyllis Haesler, Bruce Rouzie, and Carrol Reilly received Outstanding Achievement Awards. 

Ronda Mitchell received the University Suggestion Award. 

Two departments were honored in the category of Quality Customer Service:  Media Relations & Events and the Counseling Center.  

Receiving Honorable Mention within the Outstanding Achievement Award category were:  Shane Borden and Jim Starr.
