Community Scholars Application

Eligibility Requirements for Mentors:

Mentors must have at least a 3.0 GPA, be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per semester, and be willing to serve as role models and guides. Mentors must be at least second year standing in the Honors Program during the academic year which they wish to mentor. Mentors must commit to one academic year (August – May) of Mentoring in the Community Scholars Program Mentors must be willing to schedule their fall and spring classes around tutoring and a biweekly mandatory 9am or 12pm Thursday Mentor meeting. Mentors must be willing to attend all mandatory training workshops! This includes attending a Jacksonville Children’s Commission mentoring training within a month of being accepted and training at UNF.
