The Community Scholars Program

The Jaguars Foundation/UNF Community Scholars Program connects selected high school students from a Jaguars Foundation Honor Rows agency or a Nike Let Us Play camp with University of North Florida Honors students. The program offers quality relationships which will assist the high school students in successfully preparing for and attaining a higher education. The Community Scholars are part of a dynamic community where academic success is pursued and rewarded.  Upon successful completion of the mentoring program, high school seniors will have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship to the University of North Florida that is endowed by the Jaguars Foundation.  The scholarship goes towards the cost of tuition and is renewable for three years.  The scholarship recipients continue to be participants in the Community Scholars Program and are matched with a UNF Honors mentor during their first two years at UNF.

The Jaguars Foundation/UNF Community Scholars Program is interested in the scholar's full development as a citizen of the community. As such, the mentoring relationship is just the beginning of the support that the program offers.
