Project Overview - Recommendations
The following recommendations for future collaboration are:
Florida Institutions
1. Continue to work with the faculty of the CUR when it opens its programs
in the fall of 2003 to be sure that the curriculum satisfies the needs of
the community.
2. Encourage additional grant writing by FLAWI to support the project.
3. Submit journal articles on the project.
4. Continue communication between faculty teams in Senegal and Florida.
5. Continue donations of equipment and community health materials for the
CUR in Bambey.
Senegal
6. Continue to support community health in the Bambey District.
7. Continue to develop links with the business and health communities to ensure
that graduates will be employed after training is completed.
8. Continue to monitor the community health program for several years and
use it as a model for other sites in Senegal and other African countries.
9. Continue to utilize the Staff of the CUR who has been trained in this project
and over several years in the FLAWI partnership.
