Interships with the Student Conservation Association
 

The Student Conservation Association (SCA) provides high school students, college students, and others with meaningful conservation service internships and volunteer opportunities in our National Parks, Forests, and other public lands. Enjoy adventure, gain experience, and make a difference.

There are thousands of opportunities in more than 50 disciplines within the liberal arts and science fields. Completed internships recently included creating a herbarium of desert plants and GPS mapping in Arizona, community education and public relations/graphic design work with the National Interagency Fire Center in Idaho, guided tours and educating school groups about Pueblo culture and ruins at the Mesa Verda National Park and an archaeological dig at Dinosaur National Monument.

Internship Positions with Conservancy of Southwest Florida
 

The Conservancy of Southwest Florida offers internships to help aspiring environmentalists gain valuable skills and training in specific areas of interest. Supporting careers in the field is a key part of The Conservancy's role as a steward for the environment.

Each year, The Conservancy places approximately 52 interns in various positions throughout the organization. Participants are recent college graduates or students completing university studies who wish to receive real-world, hands-on experience in environmental careers. A scholarship is awarded to the intern in the amount of $1,500 for every quarter (12 weeks) completed — equivalent to $125 per week of service. Optional FREE housing is also available.

Internship Positions with St. Johns River Water Management District
 

The Co-operative Education/Internship program at St. Johns River Water Management District is designed to be mutually beneficial to both the District and the student. This program provides the student with a solid foundation and understanding of workplace ethic and is specifically tailored to the needs of each individual student's area of concentration.

Qualifications
A student must be either:
* a vocational/technical school student enrolled in a diploma program, attending school full-time in a program relative to the co-op/intern assignment
* a student who has graduated from high school or has obtained a G.E.D. and is currently enrolled in a community college, attending school full-time in an associate of science degree program, and working in the occupational area of his/her course of study
* a college junior, senior or graduate student with a major relative to the co-op/intern assignment.
