Interships with the Student Conservation Association |
||
The Student Conservation Association (SCA) provides high school students, college students, and others with meaningful conservation service internships and volunteer opportunities in our National Parks, Forests, and other public lands. Enjoy adventure, gain experience, and make a difference. There are thousands of opportunities in more than 50 disciplines within
the liberal arts and science fields. Completed internships recently
included creating a herbarium of desert plants and GPS mapping in Arizona,
community education and public relations/graphic design work with the
National Interagency Fire Center in Idaho, guided tours and educating
school groups about Pueblo culture and ruins at the Mesa Verda National
Park and an archaeological dig at Dinosaur National Monument. |

| Internship Positions with Conservancy of Southwest Florida | ||
The Conservancy of Southwest Florida offers internships to help aspiring environmentalists gain valuable skills and training in specific areas of interest. Supporting careers in the field is a key part of The Conservancy's role as a steward for the environment. Each year, The Conservancy places approximately 52 interns in various
positions throughout the organization. Participants are recent college
graduates or students completing university studies who wish to receive
real-world, hands-on experience in environmental careers. A scholarship
is awarded to the intern in the amount of $1,500 for every quarter (12
weeks) completed — equivalent to $125 per week of service. Optional
