Admission and/or Registration of Students with Disabilities

The University does not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission or access to its programs or activities. Students who do not meet general admission requirements and have documented proof of visual impairment, hearing impairment, motor impairment, or psychological disorders, specific learning disabilities, may request consideration of the disability in the admission process. Students should check the appropriate box on the application and contact the DRC to discuss disability documentation requirements.

The University suggests students with disabilities are encouraged to register with the Disability Resource Center immediately upon admission to UNF. The DRC is not able to provide accommodations to students who have not completed the DRC's registration process.

To register with the DRC, the student must supply the DRC office with written documentation of his/her disability. This documentation will be reviewed to ensure it meets UNF's Disability Documentation Guidelines. Please allow up to ten (10) days for completion of the review process. A copy of these guidelines is available on-line on the DRC web-site or at the DRC office (Bldg.10/1201).

Prior UNF students returning for course work after being absent for three consecutive semester are subject to current DRC documentation requirements and policies.

Requests for information should be directed to the Disability Resource Center Office.
