Ida Gropper - Director
Ida Gropper As a director for the Human Resources team at the University of North Florida, Ida is responsible for the office of Professional Development & Training, which provides development opportunities for faculty and staff. With over 25 years of related experience, Ida partners with departments across campus to provide organization development services and leads sessions on team building, management skills and related topics. As co-founder of the UNF Book Club, Ida regularly facilitates book discussions. Ida has served as a community college professor and chairperson and in 1993 became the first recipient of the Nunez Endowed Teaching Chair at Miami-Dade Community College. She holds a master's degree in Education from Florida International University and a specialist degree in Computer Education from Barry University.

Jim Starr - Training Specialist
Jim Starr Jim has worked as training specialist with CPDT since August, 2004. Jim serves as primary designer and support of CPDT Training web pages. He provides graphic design support to the department for print and online promotions. Jim serves as online developer for the training curriculum utilizing video, screen capture, and other online learning technologies. Jim earned his bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of North Florida in the summer of 2007.

Emily Stalvey - Training Assistant
Emily Stalvey Emily started with CPDT in December, 2007. She is a Jacksonville native and an alumni of the University of North Florida as of May, 2007. She is currently seeking a Master of Science in Applied Sociology at UNF. In the future, Emily plans to use her UNF degrees and her experience with CPDT to pave the way for a career in higher education or consulting. As CPDT's training assistant, Emily serves as the first point of contact for all CPDT customers, assisting them with course registration and general inquiries, as well as coordinating the logistics for our training courses with accuracy, efficiency, and courtesy.

Karla Calliste-Edgar - Accounting Associate
Karla Calliste-Edgar Karla joined the CPDT team in February, 2007 as a Training Assistant before moving to her current position of Associate Accountant. Karla provides budget support for CPDT's multiple indexes, oversees the department's office functions, and serves as the second point of contact for customers. She holds a bachelor's degree in Child & Family Studies from Syracuse University in upstate New York and earned her Director's Credential certification serving as the director at Kindercare Learning Center in Mandarin and then Primrose School of Fleming Island.
