Under Public Law 93-380, the Family Educational Rights
and Privacy Act of 1974, students and their parents are advised
of certain practices and procedures here at the University of North
Florida, which relate to student information. We can only give specific
information to the student in person. Please refer to
myWings web
portal
for your schedule, financial aid and financial information as much
as possible.
Once a student reaches the age of 18 or is enrolled in a post secondary
program, parents no longer have any right to the student’s
information under this act unless the student gives written consent
to release the information to their parents. The written consent
must be turned into the Records & Registration office each year.
The consent form must be signed by the student and have a copy of
their drivers license with it. If there are further questions about
this please refer to the Privacy Act at http://www.ed.gov/offices/OII/fpco/ferpa/.
