Half & Half Loan
The Cashier's Office at the University of North Florida offers this payment option to all students who qualify. This loan is available to students who have no outstanding balance with the University.
This loan is a signed contract between the student and the University. It states that the student will pay one-half of tuition and fees (after subtracting any aid, grants, or waivers) by the payment deadline, plus a $15.00 processing fee. To enroll, the student must go to the Cashier's Office and fill out the contract for the loan in person and pay the first half plus the processing fee before the end of the drop/add period. Half and half loans will not be granted after that date-no exceptions.
The second half must be paid in full within the next sixty days, but no later than the due date specified at the time of contracting. Loans not paid by the payment deadline will result in a financial hold being placed on the student's account and a $75.00 late payment fee ($100.00 beginning fall 2008) being assessed. The student will not be able to register for a subsequent semester until paid and may be denied future enrollment in the half & half loan program.
