How do I back up my survey results?
Select the Survey in the Dashboard and click Edit. Next, go in to the Analyze mode by clicking Analyze then click Export Data.
In the Export Survey Data page click Select All to download all of the questions. In the Formatting Options section change the date format to 12/29/2003 4:00:00 PM and check the checkbox next to "Replace commas in text responses with:".In the Multiple Language Options section click the button next to "A specific character set". Finally click the Submit button then choose a location to save the data.
This method creates a CSV file that you can open and manipulate in Microsoft Excel.

When I export the data it does not open correctly in Excel. How do I export it for Excel?
When you export the data be sure to click the button next to A specific character set, and chose the last option in the list "iso-8859-1=Western European (iso)".

Make sure to click the Update Results button before you analyze or export your results.

Why do the image graphs look squished?
The graphs look squished because one or more of the items in the legend are too long. Change the Analysis version of the response to a shortened version.

Is it possible to chart only the top responses to a question?
To see the top responses for a question click the This Chart’s Properties button in the Analyze Window. Then click the Top N checkbox. Select a value from the 'top responses' dropdown box to choose how many responses to include. Items that are not in the Top N are grouped together into a single value on the chart. You also have the ability to sort the responses on your chart by Numeric by top count, the Original Order, or Alphabetically. You can also invert the sort order.

I’ve updated my results, but when I download the responses I’m still not getting all of them. Why?
There may be a filter on your data. To remove a filter click the Filter Data link in the Analyze section. Then click the Clear Filter button.

Is it possible to change the type of graph used for a question in a report?
The chart type pull down menu will allows the user to choose from available chart types. The options will vary by question type and may include Bar, Horizontal Bar, Pie, Area, Line, Scatter, and Text Only.

Can I get question response data into Excel without Exporting the results?
To easily copy and paste the data for a particular question into Excel, choose chart type "Text" (see above), then highlight cells to copy. This will paste easily into a blank worksheet.
