Web 2.0 is a general term used to refer to several different technologies that share similar traits. These traits include working in web browsers over a web connection and providing an experience that is richer than displaying text and media in an inline document; be it by adding interactive and social elements (FaceBook, MySpace, Flickr, Amazon, etc.) or by including persistent content that is created or changed by people through a built-in interface (Google Docs, Kuler, YouTube, etc.)
