Conversion Pack
With the release of Office 2007, Microsoft introduced new file formats: docx, pptx, and xlsx.

If you receive a document with this extension but do not have Office 2007, you will not be able to open that document. Microsoft has released a compatibility pack which will allow Office 2003 users to open these documents.

The Compatibility pack can be downloaded here.

By installing the Compatibility Pack, you will be able open, edit, and save files received in the new file formats.

All high-priority updates from Microsoft must be installed before you run this patch.
