Locales present the Blackboard Academic Suite using language and cultural norms matched to different audiences. At the course level, the Instructor can set a locale and enforce it. Enforcing a locale means that all users will see that locale. If the locale is not enforced, and a user has a preferred locale associated with their account, the user’s locale will override the course locale. At the user level, individuals may select their preferred locale.

To set a locale for your course, go to the Control Panel>Course Options>Settings>Set Locale.
