Link Checker shows you which links in your course work and which ones do not in one glance. You can hide dead links from students by clicking the box on the Link Checker. Please plan to check the links periodically (i.e. start of each new semester) with the Link Checker.

The Link Checker is located in the Control Panel of each Blackboard course under Course Tools.

The link checker shows all External Links in the course, the URL, Location, Availability, and Validity. Links may be hidden from the student view by checking the box next to the link and clicking Submit.

Note: Links that are added in Announcements, Items, Documents, Assessments, etc. will not be checked by the Link Checker. The Link Checker only checks those links in a course that are added using the Build>Create External Link option.
