Gradebook Views allows the instructor to choose between "View Grades by User" or "View Grades by Item."

View Grades by User allows an instructor to see all of the gradebook items for a selected student at once and input the student's grades all at once. Submitting at the bottom of the page will update all of the student's grades in the course gradebook.

View Grades by Item allows an instructor to view all of the students' grades for a particular gradebook item at once. The instructor may enter all of the grades for the item and click Submit to update all students' grades for the item in the gradebook.
