The Discussion Board is the primary asynchronous communication tool in Blackboard. Students are able to post and respond to messages in Discussion Board Forums. Conversations are grouped as threads that contain a main posting and all related replies.
To Add a Discussion Board Forum:
Click Discussion Board from the Control Panel of your Course.
Click Add Forum.
Enter a Title and Description for the Forum.
Select the Forum Settings: Allow anonymous posts, Allow author to modify message after posting, Allow author to remove own posted messages, Allow file attachments, Allow new threads.
Optional: Select Forum User Settings. If you wish to make a student a Moderator of a forum or Block or Unblock a student from posting to a forum, click the appropriate button to select the setting.
