Safe Assign Originality Reports

Once a paper has been processed, a report is available that details the percentage of the submitted paper that matches existing sources. It also shows the suspected sources of each section of the submitted paper that returns a match. Instructors can remove matching sources from the report and process it again. This may be useful if the paper is a continuation of a previously submitted work by the same student.
Because SafeAssign identifies all matching blocks of text, it is important to read the report carefully and investigate whether or not the block of text is properly attributed.

To access the SafeAssign Originality Reports:

From the SafeAssign Tool:

1. Click SafeAssign under Course Tools in the Control Panel of a course.
   
2. Click SafeAssignments.
   
3. Click the drop down menu, then View Submissions.
   
4. Click the Safe Assign icon under the SA Report column to view the report.
   

From the Grade Center:

1. Click Evaluation > Grade Center in the Control Panel Menu.
   
2. Click the drop down menu on the Needs Grading icon or student grade.
3. Select View Grade Details from the menu.
   
4. Click Open Attempt, then click the Safe Assign icon to view the Originality Report.
