New features are added to Blackboard in a variety of ways. Some new features come in the form of a release from Blackboard. Other times, Blackboard releases an Application Pack that includes bug-fixes and new features. Building Blocks are Blackboard add-ons that are sometimes selected for the increased functionality they provide to our Blackboard system at UNF.

Upgrade to Blackboard 9 - During the Blackboard maintenance window, August 9-16, the Blackboard Learning System was upgraded to Blackboard Learn version 9. This version provides enhanced workflows, a more effective user interface and an extended tool set of capabilities that will benefit instructors using Blackboard. It is no longer necessary for instructors to access a separate control panel to make changes to their course; all options for uploading files, creating assignments and posting links are available on the new course page.
