There are several ways to modify the standard course menu in Blackboard: Change the name of a menu item To change the name of a menu item: Click on Manage Course Menu from the Control Panel of a course:
To Modify an area of the Course Menu, click on Modify next to the area, change the name of the area and/or change the availability and click Submit:
Click on Manage Course Menu from the Control Panel of a course:
Click on Content Area, Tools Area, Course Link, or External Link, depending on the type of area you wish to add:
Type or select a name for the area, select the availability of the area and click Submit:
Click on Manage Course Menu from the Control Panel of a course:
Click Remove next to the item you wish to remove:
A Warning will appear, click OK to remove the Menu item and all associated content:
Note: Use Modify and make an area Unavailable for Student/Participant Users if you do not want to remove the content from your course. To change the color of the menu: Click on Course Design from the Control Panel of a course:
Click Course Menu Design:
Use the Pick Tools to select the Background and Text colors for the menu, then click Submit:
Click on Course Design from the Control Panel of a course:
Click Course Menu Design:
Click on either Buttons or Text. If you click Buttons, you will see additional options including Button Type, Button Shape, and Button Style. Click Submit.
