The Blackboard Learning System was upgraded from Blackboard version 7.2 to version 7.3 on January 2, 2008. Now that the upgrade is complete, all current courses (since Spring 2008), new DEV courses, UNF Group and Special courses are available on http://blackboard.unf.edu. All other courses including courses prior to Spring 2008 and old DEV courses are available on http://bbarchive.unf.edu. With the upgrade, several new features are available in Blackboard. What's New in Blackboard 7.3?

Discussion Board Enhancements - Several enhancements have been added to the Discussion Board including a Tree View, Mark as Read and Mark as Unread options, Subscribe and Unsubscribe icons at the forum level, a new Quote option, and the ability to Tag messages.

New Blackboard Configuration - In order to improve system performance, Blackboard@UNF will consist of two servers: Current semester courses (Spring 2008), UNF Group and Special courses will be available at http://blackboard.unf.edu. All other courses including previous semester's courses and DEV courses will be available at http://bbarchive.unf.edu.

New Course Copy Procedure - Instructors whom wish to copy materials from a previous semester's course or a DEV course into a current semester course will use a new course copy procedure.

Support for Right-to-Left Languages - Users may now view the application from right to left so that languages that read from right to left (such as Arabic and Hebrew) reflect the correct orientation of the text on the screen.
