Setting up an on-campus interview
schedule enables you to meet with candidates who meet
your specific qualifications and have expressed very
strong interest in your organization and the position
you have advertised. Our online system, Career Wings
(powered by NACELink/Symplicity) manages the entire process via
the internet.
Recruiting Seasons-
To ensure a successful response for your campus visit,
our recruiting season is as follows: FALL- October and
November; SPRING-February, March, and April. Our annual
Career Expos (September, January, April) allow you to
showcase your organization and market your campus interview
dates to students.
Scheduling Your
Interview Date- We
require a MINIMUM of three weeks to schedule, advertise,
and market your interview date to our students and alumni/ae.
Standard Interview Day- A
typical interview day consists of thirteen thirty-minute
interviews, two breaks, and time for lunch. To help meet
your specific needs, Career Services will work with you
to tailor your schedule.
Pre-Select Interview Schedule-
You may review the resumes of potential applicants in
anticipation of your recruiting visit, "pre-select" or
determine which applicants meet your needs and invite
those candidates to sign up online for an interview time.
With this schedule you will only see those candidates
that you have selected.
Open Interview
Schedule- You may also advertise your
position openly and allow any candidates who meet your
qualifications to sign up on a "first come, first served"
basis. Our Career Wings system allows you to determine
your criteria and ensure that only candidates who match
your qualifications can sign up for interview slots.
With this schedule you will see all students who
meet your qualifications.
Interview Rooms- We currently have
two rooms designed to accommodate your one-on-one interviews.
We also have a small conference room to accommodate group
interviews. Students check in at our reception are and
wait in a comfortable waiting area until you call them
for their interview.
Refreshments- We provide coffee,
tea, and water throughout your interview day as needed.
Lunch- We provide a listing of places to eat on campus
and as well as restaurants within driving distance of
the campus. If you are interested in arranging lunch
with faculty members, we require at least one-week notice
to make arrangements.
