Veterinary Medicine Career Resources
Veterinarians are trained medical professionals who treat sick and injured animals. Once you have graduated from a four-year veterinary medical school, you will be granted the doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM). There are several areas that veterinarians can go into, such as small animal vs. large animal, exotic, or marine mammals.

American Veterinary Medical Association - The American Veterinary Medical Association seeks to advance the science and art of veterinary medicine, including its relationship to public health, biological science, and agriculture.

Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges - The Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges coordinates the affairs of the 27 US Veterinary Medical Colleges, 4 Canadian Colleges of Veterinary Medicine, Departments of Veterinary Science and Comparative Medicine, and the animal medical centers.
