Rehabilitation
Counselors work
with mentally, physically and emotionally disabled persons
to help them become self-sufficient and productive. Many
counselors specialize in one type of disability, such
as the mentally retarded, the mentally ill, or the blind.
They help people deal with their disabilities. They may
counsel people living with birth defects, illness, disease,
accidents or just stress of daily life.
