What Can You Do With A Major In......

ECONOMICS
is the study of the way society distributes scarce resources such as land, labor, raw materials, and machinery to produce goods and services for the consumer.  Economists conduct research, collect and analyze data, monitor economic trends and develop forecasts of the economy.  Most economists are concerned with the practical applications in a particular area.  They use their understanding of economic relationships to help advice businesses and other organizations.  Economists use mathematical modes to develop programs that predict answers to questions such as the nature of business cycles, and the inflation rate of an economy etc. Graduate training is required for most private sector jobs, and is necessary for advancement.
