The mission of the Counseling Center is to enhance students’ total educational experience by providing a confidential and supportive environment where student concerns can be shared and explored. Center services assist students with their personal development and enhance their potential for academic success.
The purpose of the Counseling Center is to provide mental health services to the university community, including: assessment and referral, individual, group counseling and crisis intervention to currently enrolled UNF students; consultation and outreach services to faculty, staff, parents, and students. If this is your first time utilizing the Counseling Center, you will be asked to schedule a screening appointment that will help us clarify which services will be right for you. We offer a wide variety of free and confidential services including: individual counseling, medication management, and group counseling. In the case that we are not able to meet your needs, we can help refer you to other services that can better assist you.

The Counseling Center also offers emergency consultation services for students who feel that they need to speak to a counselor quickly. Please call or stop by the Counseling Center if you have an immediate need to meet with a counselor.
