USPA Election Process

April 9-20      

  •  Voting process will be published for membership information. 
  • Call out for nominations for president, vice president and secretary/treasurer shall be disseminated by both e-mail and hard copy (hard copy for those without e-mail capability). 

 Nominations will be accepted for 2 weeks.  

  • Nominees must accept a nomination in order to be included on the ballot.   
  • Any member may nominate themselves.   
  • Write-in candidates will be accepted on the ballot on the day of election. 

  

April 21-May 11  

  •  Bios should be completed by each nominee, however, they are not mandatory.  
  •  Bios will include name, department, years at UNF, platform, personal/professional accomplishments and a photo. 

May 14                   

  •  All submitted bios go out to the membership for consideration. 

  

May 18                  

  •  A sample of the ballot will go out to the membership. 

  

May 21 - ELECTION DAY 

  • Elections will be held during the Spring General Assembly.  
  • Voting will occur during the first half of the meeting.  An impartial party will be in attendance to verify election results. 
  • One vote per member present will be counted. 
  • There will be no absentee/proxy ballot.  

May 23                     

  •  USPA membership will be notified of the voting results. 

 

July 1                       

  •  New USPA officers will take office.
