After Commencement

Heartfelt wishes to all our graduates from our entire Osprey Family. Congratulations!

  • Update your mailing address

Your diploma will be sent approximately 5-7 weeks after commencement to the mailing address on-file with UNF, with the exact date posted on the UNF Academic Calendar. Be sure to confirm that UNF has the correct address on-file for you.

Follow these steps to view and update your address:

    • Log into your myWings portal
    • Choose Student on side menu
    • Select Student Resources, and then Banner Self-Service
    • Click on Personal Information
    • Choose Graduation Application
    • Click on Update Address(es) and Phone(s)
  • Check myWings for holds

Having holds on your account can prevent you from receiving your diploma and/or official transcripts. Some holds may not be placed immediately, so check your myWings often. Take immediate steps to clear any holds you may see.

  • Ordering official transcripts

Degrees are posted to official transcripts after final graduation certification approximately 5-7 weeks after commencement. Once final graduation certification is complete, you will receive an email congratulating you on earning your degree from the University of North Florida. At that time, your degree will be reflected on your official UNF transcript. When ordering your official transcript, select the option to request that the processing of your order be held until after degrees post, rather than immediately. Please visit the Transcript Requests webpage for more information on how to order official transcripts.

Follow these steps to order an official transcript:

    • Log into your myWings portal
    • Choose Student on side menu
    • Select Records
    • Click on Order Official Transcript
  • Career services

As you approach this next chapter in your life, please remember that Career Services has a variety of services to help you put your new degree to good use in a new career.

  • Alumni services

We hope you will maintain your connection with the University after graduation through the Office of Alumni Services and the Alumni Association. Benefits include alumni events, discounts on insurance and on-campus services, travel opportunities and great networking opportunities.

  • Osprey Plaza Pavers

The Osprey Plaza Paver Project was launched in 2008 to create a way for students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends of the University of North Florida to leave a lifelong legacy. Osprey Plaza is the breezeway between the east and west buildings of the Student Union, which houses the many offices and services integral to student life on campus.
