is wireless technology? |
Wireless technology
allows computers and WiFi devices to send and receive Internet
data via a wireless network. Users with a IEEE 802.11G
wireless card can access the wireless network within the Coggin
College of Business building. |

Is the network
secure? |
The Coggin College
wireless network is as secure as any open, public access network
(ie public libraries). It is recommended that personal and
confidential information not be sent over the wireless network. |

What equipment
do I need to access the network? |
A WiFi-enabled device
with an internet browser and a IEEE 802.11G
wireless Ethernet card. The wireless card can be integrated
into the device or purchased separately as an add-on. |

What type of
wireless standard is supported? |
IEEE 802.11G only.

Where can I buy
a wireless card? |
Wireless cards are
available at most major electronics retailers. Remember to
install the appropriate software before connecting the wireless
card. |

Where are the
access points located? |
There are multiple
access points spread throughout all three floors of the Coggin
College of Business. Students can access the network from
any classroom, hallway, or the lobby, as well as the surrounding
perimeter of the Coggin College of Business building. |

How do I connect
to the wireless network? |
1. Install your wireless
card and software.
2. You may be prompted to "Join the Wireless Network".
3. Simply open an internet browser and you should be connected. |

technical support if I have problems connecting to the wireless
network? |
