Alpha Sigma Pi is a
professional organization dedicated to the promotion
and stimulation of greater interest in the profession
of accountancy and to the encouragement of high scholarship
and proficiency.
The club sponsors numerous activities designed to strengthen relationships among
students, faculty, and members of the business community. These activities include
a social every term, various speakers, and an awards banquet twice during the
academic year. Outstanding students and faculty chosen by Alpha Sigma Pi--Accounting
Club are recognized at the banquet. Membership is open to all students, faculty,

Delta Sigma Pi is an
international business fraternity of professionally oriented
men and women whose common goal is to share their business
interests, encourage scholarship, interact with community
leaders, and enjoy the cultural and social environment
of college. Nationally sponsored affiliations with community
support groups such as the Special Olympics, The March
of Dimes, and Junior Achievement are traditions each
Delta Sigma Pi member carries with pride. Delta Sigma
Pi offers an excellent program through which members
can get acquainted with fellow business students and
faculty, exchange ideas, and participate in voluntary
projects for the enrichment of the civic welfare of the
community, the school, and the individual. The fraternity
also provides an opportunity to form close bonds in an
atmosphere of brotherhood that remains with one for a
lifetime. |

Society |

The Economics Club is
a service/social club made up of economics majors and
other students interested in economic issues. In addition
to social events, the club has sponsored debates on economic
issues such as the possibility of giving vouchers for
education and NAFTA. During election years, the club
sponsors debates about the candidates' positions on economic
issues. Also, members of the club have volunteered to
tutor students in Principles of Economics. |

UNF’s Entrepreneur Society is an organization affiliated with the College of Business designed to cater the entrepreneurial needs of all students at the University of North Florida. The Entrepreneur Society strives to serve students by providing networking activities with Jacksonville’s entrepreneurs and through national collegiate conferences. The ultimate goal of UNF’s Entrepreneur Society is to become nationally affiliated with the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (C.E.O.), comprised of more than 130 prestigious U.S. colleges, thereby increasing opportunities for UNF students to learn and interact with colleges around the nation. |

The Finance and Investment
Society is open to all students interested in acquiring
knowledge about banking, finance, and investment topics.
The society offers many activities during the year including
socials with the business community, various speakers,
and an annual banquet. The Society sponsors the Wall
Street Investment Game and provides awards for the best
student performers. Students from all disciplines are
strongly encouraged to become active members of the Finance
and Investment Society. |

The
Osprey Financial Group is a student managed investment
fund. The program, a two-semester committment that
counts as six elective credits, enables a select group
of undergraduate finance and MBA students to manage
a real portfolio as a professional investment firm.
The real-world asset management experience begins with
application and interviews to select 12 students for
each Fall/Spring team. The chosen students are administratively
organized with officer positions and responsibilities.
Teams research and present reports to aid in buy/sell
decision making. There are sector analyst, economic,
fixed-income, and technical analysis teams that all
aid in the decision making process. |

The University of North
Florida Student Chapter of the Society for Human Resource
Management (SHRM) is a professional organization open
to students who are interested in the human resources
field. The organization is designed to promote a closer
affiliation between the business community and students.
The objectives of the organization are to keep students
up to date on new developments in the field of human
resources management, to acquaint students to the human
resources field, and to develop a nucleus of truly professional
human administrators for the future. Student membership
is open to students of at least sophomore standing. Full-time
or part-time students are welcomed. Students may be enrolled
in either the undergraduate program or the graduate programs
at the University of North Florida. Members need not
be business majors, but must have an interest in human

| Student Business Advisory Council |

Comprised
of the senior leaders from all Coggin College
student organizations, the Student Business Advisory
Council (SBAC), is a service group within the Coggin
College of Business. SBAC serves all Coggin
College student organizations and provides a centralized
forum for training and idea sharing among the student
club leaders with a goal of supporting the mission of
the Coggin College. They also play a crucial
role in promoting the Coggin College of Business to both
the University at large as well as the greater Jacksonville
business community. Serving as "Coggin Ambassadors",
members of SBAC have the opportunity to contribute
to the community through volunteering, to network with
local business professionals, and to assist the Dean's
Office with various special events. |

900 campuses in 20 countries, Students in Free Enterprise
(SIFE) is an international, non-profit organization that
has been challenging students for over 25 years. SIFE
teams work with businesses and higher education to help
students take what they are learning in the classroom
and apply it in the real working situations. UNF SIFE
gives students the tools to develop leadership, teamwork,
and communication skills by learning and teaching the
free enterprise system. |

UNF Toastmasters is a forum to help
students develop verbal communication. Members have the
opportunity to meet and hear business leaders from Toastmasters'
groups around the First Coast (including organizations
such as Bank of America, City of Jacksonville, Intermed,
Medtronics Xomed, Prudential Realty, and more). Members
are part of a dynamic group where they can utilize and
improve their presentation skills, present ideas, offer
constructive criticism and accept criticism. Anyone is
welcome to join.

The FMA National Honor Society recognizes

one of the highest academic honors that a student in
