Coggin College of Business Scholarships

Scholarships directed to a particular student from an outside agency are considered custodial scholarships. They are not processed as a UNF Foundation gift. They are to be directly sent to Enrollment Services Processing. They are responsible for posting the award directly to the student’s account. Please follow individual application guidelines. AST&L / L.L. Waters Scholarship

  • Undergraduate students in their junior or senior year
  •  Attending fully accredited four-year U.S. college or university
  •  Enrolled in a degree program in which Transportation/logistics is the concentration
  • Students enrolled in, or accepted to a fully accredited college or university in the pursuit of graduate studies in transportation/logistics/physical distribution

Northeast Florida Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)
  • Must be enrolled as an undergraduate, degree-seeking student majoring in finance or accounting at the University of North Florida during the Spring 2016 semester.
  • Applicants must be full-time students (enrolled for 12 credit hours) during the Spring 2016 semester.
  • Must have completed at least 60 semester hours at the time of application.
  • Must be a citizen of the United States or hold permanent residency status.
  • Must have a minimum institutional UNF GPA of at least 2.75.
  • The granting of scholarship(s) is at the sole discretion of the Northeast Florida Chapter of IIA, and shall be on a basis of educational achievement, financial need, and demonstrated professional, social, and charitable activities, and a short essay.
  • Candidates are eligible for up to two (2) consecutive awards.
  • Applicants should plan to attend an event on March 16 to receive the scholarship if selected.

Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants' Educational Foundation Scholarships
  • Must be a UNF degree-seeking majoring in accounting either at the undergraduate-level or 5th –year student (MAcc or MBA with an accounting concentration)
  • Must be a student member of the FICPA
  • Must plan to enroll at UNF in 3000-6000 level accounting courses during the upcoming Fall 2016 semester
  • Must have completed the junior year (90 semester hours) as of the beginning of Fall 2016
  • Primarily intended for full-time students to be registered for twelve (12) or more undergraduate semester hours or nine (9) or more graduate semester hours during the Fall 2016 semester. Part-time students with a minimum of six (6) credit hours each term will be considered for a one-half scholarship.
  • Must plan to sit for the CPA exam and be working towards fulfilling those requirements for certification in Florida
  • Must indicate a desire to practice in the field of accounting
  • Must indicate a desire to work in the State of Florida
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or hold permanent residency status
  • Must be a legal Florida resident
    • Must demonstrate commitment to professional, community, and/or charitable activities
    • Candidates are eligible for up to two (2) consecutive awards.
     

The granting of scholarships shall be on a basis of educational achievement, financial need, and demonstrated professional, social, and charitable activities. The Trustees recognize that need can vary dependent upon significant factors including geographical considerations, work-place conditions, current employment, dependents, other obligations of the student, and parental support or lack thereof.

James Wilcox Endowment - Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (FICPA) Educational Foundation Scholarships
  • Must be a UNF degree-seeking majoring in accounting 4th year (senior) student
  • Must plan to pursue postgraduate accounting education (MAcc or MBA with an accounting concentration) at any accredited college or university in the State of Florida during the 2016-2017 academic year
  • Must be a student member of the FICPA
  • Preference given to African-American students
  • Primarily intended for full-time students to be registered for nine (9) or more graduate semester hours during the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 semesters. Part-time students with a minimum of six (6) credit hours each term will be considered for a one-half scholarship.
  • Must plan to sit for the CPA exam and be working towards fulfilling those requirements for certification in Florida
  • Must indicate a desire to practice in the field of accounting
  • Must indicate a desire to work in the State of Florida
