Summary: |
|
This course will offer an overview and comparison of contemporary Hungarian and Austrian society. Site visits will be made to a number of business organizations and governmental institutions in and around both Vienna and Budapest. In addition, a number of exciting cultural activities will also be provided in order to enhance the students’ educational experience in both countries. Students will be able to compare and contrast the impact of Communist vs. Capitalistic regimes on business in these two countries. In other words, lectures, discussions and debates will center on the comparative nature of the problems of economic transition in the former Soviet block states compared to the economy of traditionally capitalistic ones. |

$2,500 (plus the cost of tuition)
Actual price $3,500. Accepted students will receive a Transformational Learning Opportunity (TLO) scholarships awarded by the President’s Office to lower the cost to $2,500. Only undergraduate degree-seeking students are eligible for the TLO scholarship. Participation by non-degree seeking students will be considered on a case by case basis. Although, they will be require to pay the full program fee of $3,500 (plus the cost of tuition).
Cost includes international and in-country travel, accommodations including breakfast, double occupancy, professionally guided cultural sightseeing and admission fees. |
