University |
| Founded in 1891, Göteborg University (spelled Gothenburg
in English) is one of Sweden’s largest and most
popular universities. This is a wonderful program for
graduate students who want to take business classes
in English. No Swedish language
background is required. Providing a truly global
learning experience, the university attracts many international
students and was recently recognized as one of 47 European
schools for its high quality of education and research
regarding European issues. |

| Göteborg was founded in 1621. With a population
of nearly half a million, it is the second largest city
in Sweden. This dynamic port is the world’s provider
of Volvo cars. It is also renowned for its beautiful
parks, coastline, and is home to Liseberg, one of the
largest amusement parks in Scandinavia. Strategically
located in the west of Sweden, Göteborg is the
hub of trade for the Nordic countries and is close to
many castles and beautiful coastal communities. Denmark,
Norway and Sweden’s capital, Stockholm, are also
just a short train or ferry-ride away. Your semester
in Göteborg is sure to be unforgettable. |

The Office of Exchange Student Services works with you to find accommodations in Göteborg. Rent ranges from approximately $400- $480 per month depending on type of accommodation. It is common to pay a deposit of one month’s rent and a small contract fee. |

Students are required to individually
obtain the necessary visa for study abroad prior to
departure. Most semester programs are more than 90 days.
Students should visit the U.S. Department of State webpage
