| The Cologne University of Applied Sciences (CUAS), also known as Fachhochschule
Köln (FHK), was founded in 1971 and is well-recognized
by German employers for its department of Business Administration
and Management. In 1995 the department was ranked 14th
out of 120 German-speaking universities reviewed by
Germany’s Manager Magazin. CUAS is located close
to the city center of Cologne near the banks of the
Rhine River. Some undergraduate
courses are taught in English, but most are taught in
German. All graduate courses are taught in German. |

| Cologne,
Germany |
| Köln (spelled Cologne in English) is an interesting
and lively city, the fourth largest in Germany. This
cosmopolitan city is home to more than a million inhabitants.
Köln has a university town feeling with about 80,000
students, too. Just about everywhere you can see examples
of the cultural and historical treasures from the city’s
2,000 year history. For example, the city’s most
famous landmark is the Köln Cathedral with two
spires over 157 meters high. The view from the top is
worth the climb. Köln provides accessible transportation
within the city, country and throughout Europe with
more than 1,200 train arrivals per day in its main railway
station. Modern high-speed trains link Köln with
London, Paris, Amsterdam, Hamburg and Berlin at hourly
intervals. |
