The SEMESTER EXCHANGE program was created to establish partnerships with several international universities. These partner universities send students to study at UNF for one or two semesters and UNF sends students there to study. Students can spend one or two semesters (only one semester for graduate students) studying as an exchange student at one of our partner institutions abroad.

Long-term exchange experiences of this type are the best way for students to study abroad. Advantages of this sort of program include immersing oneself in the local culture by getting to know a host city and making friends, learning a language well and allowing time to travel to nearby countries. This constant exchange creates and maintains relationships between students, administrators, faculty members and universities at large.

If UNF students would like to study abroad on a semester exchange program, they pay UNF tuition to study abroad. Grades and credits are calculated as transfer credit from the exchange institution. Students make and pay for individual travel arrangements. Additionally, students pay for room and board. Room and board costs are typically lower than in the US, and some scholarships might be available.
