Internship Checklist


Students who desire assistance in seeking International Business internships should register with the Center for International Business Studies.

Checklist Deadline
1.
 Ensure that you meet the requirements for enrolling in the International Business Internship course. 3 months before internship begins
2.
 Create a high-quality resume. 3 months before internship begins
3.
 Arrange your internship, including internship duties, hours, payment (amount, form, and timing), and supervisor. Obtain a signed letter on company letterhead from the supervisor stating these facts. One week before registration begins
4.
 Complete the following forms and submit to the Internship Coordinator, along with the letter from the firm (see step 4).
• Request for Approval to Register for Internship Form
• Student Contract Form
• Five Learning Objectives Form		 One week before registration begins
5.
 The Internship Coordinator will determine whether your internship meets program requirements. UNF gives you permission to register for the International Business Internship course. 1st day of registration
6.
 Register for the International Business Internship course.
 During your normal registration time
7.
 Submit “Mid-Semester Timesheet” to International Business Internship Coordinator and attend the mid-semester internship seminar. End of 7th week of classes
8.
 Complete the "End-of-Semester Timesheet". End of last week of classes
9.
 Have your supervisor complete the “Employer Evaluation”. Beginning of last week of classes
10.
 Complete the “Intern's Evaluation” form. End of last week of classes
11.

Write a final paper describing the internship experience.
Submit the following to the Coordinator:
• Final Paper
• Intern's Evaluation Form
• End-of-Semester Timesheet

End of last week of classes
12.
 International Business Internship Coordinator must have received the completed “Employer Evaluation” form. First day of finals
