and events to prepare students for all aspects of the job

| Career Expos (Fall & Spring
) |

Each UNF Career Expo provides a great opportunity to expand
your career options. Employers from various industries will
be on hand recruiting for internships, cooperative education,
part-time employment, and full-time employment.
Students/attendees should come prepared with resumes to
distribute. Business attire is REQUIRED (NO jeans, t-shirts,
or flip flops). There is no cost for UNF students and alumni
to attend. The general public may also attend for a small
charge.

| Recruiting Season: Fall Boot Camp & Spring Training |
| |
Boot Camp/Spring Training is a series of workshops, interviews, and networking sessions designed to prepare students for job and internship recruitment. The fun and educational sessions will take place two days during the beginnig of Fall and Spring semesters. Additional opportunities are also available for students to participate in Resume PRO and Interview PRO with guest corporate recruiters.
Student will also have an opportunity to receive multiple STAR credits by attending topic specific workshops.

STAR 3-Critique/ Resume PRO
Have your resume or cover letters critiqued in the Career Management Center or participate in Resume PRO. Call 620-2067 to schedule an appointment.
STAR 4- Register in Career Wings/Upload Your Resume

| Job Search Basics (STAR Workshop #1) |
| |
This workshop will cover resume writing and cover letter basics, address common questions about resume and letter writing, help students build a targeted resume and write effective letters and illustrate some common resume pitfalls. Also, students will learn basic job search strategies and identify key job search resources.
Resume Critiques are always available on an individual basis. Call 620-2067 to schedule an appointment for one-on-one resume development and critique.

| Interviewing for Success (STAR Workshop #2) |

TThis workshop is designed to help students learn about employment interviewing. After completing this workshop, participants should know:
Ø Fundamentals of personal preparation, including evaluating yourself and knowing why an employer should want to hire you
Ø How to research an employer
Ø Different interviewing formats
Ø What to wear to an interview
Ø Appropriate questions to ask of the employer at an interview
Ø Interview questions to expect and how to answer them
Ø What to do after the interview

Take advantage of this opportunity to get your resume critiqued by an industry professional before the Career Fairs and recruitment events. The Career Management Center offers all-day resume review critiques by appointment only. Students must RSVP via Career Wings in order to sign up for a specific time slot. Check our Calendar of Events for dates and times. Location is usually in the Career Management Center (Coggin College: Building 42, Room 2021).

This program features employer representatives and recruiters who will conduct interviews and provide critiques. This program is set up to simulate a real interview. | STAR Program: Recognition Luncheon |
| |
This event is invitation only and recognizes the outstanding effort by the new STAR certified students. A certification ceremony and complimentary lunch will be provided. Guest faculty, administrators and employers will also be invited in order to meet and congratulate the STAR student’s success. Invitations will be sent out each semester by your Career Management Center team. STAR credit is monitored by the Career Management Center office and entered into your Career Wings account so that you can keep track of your STAR progress.

| In Good Taste: A Professional
Etiquette Dinner for Graduating Seniors |

UNF Office
of Alumni Services hosts this fun filled evening
to help students get prepared for life after college with
two brief presentations on "Minding Your Manners" and "Life
After School Explained."
The Event also features a three-course meal and is by reservation
only with a limited number of seats available. Be sure to take
advantage of this unique opportunity to become a better professional
and expand your social skills. Please contact the Office of
