Finance

Professor receives Fulbright award to lecture in Bangladesh
Dr. Parvez Ahmed, associate professor of finance in the Coggin College of Business, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant to lecture and conduct research at the Independent University of Bangladesh in the capitol city of Dhaka during the fall 2009 academic year.
Ahmed, who speaks and writes fluent Bangla, is one of approximately 1,100 U.S. faculty and professionals who will travel abroad through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program, which is America's flagship international educational exchange program. Recipients of Fulbright awards are selected on the basis of academic or professional achievement as well as demonstrated leadership potential in their fields.
Ahmed will teach and conduct research in finance, with his research focusing on financial asset pricing and market efficiency in Bangladesh.
Ahmed has been at UNF since 2002 and has received the Outstanding Researcher Award three times from Coggin College as well as the Outstanding Teacher Award. Learn more about the Fulbright Program
