- Summary:
- This course provides a unique Transformational Learning opportunity for students. The course introduces students to the economy and society in the Italian North. We will visit two major cities: Milan (in the Lombardy region) and Turin (in the Piedmont region). Students will experience first hand how Italians do business by visiting the largest car maker in Italy, Fiat corporation (4 hours) and several medium and small businesses and universities in Turin and Milan (about 16 hours).
- Milan is the financial heart of Italy and students will have the opportunity to visit the Milan stock exchange (3 hours). In addition, UNF students will interact with Italian students and faculty at the University of Turin (3 hours) and the university of Milan (3 hours) and attend lectures on the economics and the political economy of Italy. The learning experience also includes several cultural visits during which students will have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of the history, culture, and art in the Italian North.
