Summary:

This study abroad course is an excellent opportunity to experience the business and academic issues in one of the most interesting and important countries in South America. The travel portion of the course includes visits to Lima, Peru’s capital, Cuzco and the ruins of Machu Picchu. Students will interact with Peruvian communities as well as different organizations and groups working to foster economic development among the poorest groups in Peru.  

 

This course is aimed at students with interests in economic development, international economics and business withLatin America. The service learning component of the course gives students the chance to participate in several projects for the benefit of different communities in Peru.

Note: This is a 2000-level course, so upper-division students may not have room for the course to count toward their degrees.

Cost:

$3,000* $1,500* (plus the cost of 3 hours UNF spring 2011 tuition)
1st Payment: $500 due by November 1, 2011
2nd Payment: $2,500* $1,000 due by February 1, 2012
